Today Oribe Hair Care along with Wella Professionals Color announced a strategic alliance to deliver joint programming to the salon industry.

Tevya Finger and Daniel Kaner, co-Presidents of Oribe Hair Care, along with Reuben Carranza, CEO of P&G Salon Professional North America, announced the newly formed alliance, which will focus on developing joint programming for educational events such as “Oribe Ateliers,” a series of intimate hands-on workshops held throughout the U.S., and “Oribe Backstage,” a year gathering of more than a thousand of the country’s top hairdressers.

“The relationship allows us to present a highly unique offering to salons – a combination of the best color, education and hair care products in the market," says Finger. "Together, we are a one-two punch that will truly enhance each other’s businesses and will bring together two great brands. This is the true meaning of a strategic partnership.”

Kaner added, “Color is so important to a stylist. It adds a level of artistry and depth to the overall finished look. We at Oribe Hair Care are excited to partner with Wella Professionals to integrate color into our programs and education – and together extend many benefits to our network. Wella Professionals Color is a world-class product that is grounded in a thorough understanding of what the stylist needs and what the consumer wants.”

According to Oribe, “The original idea for Oribe Hair Care was to inspire and to deliver products and education that elevated hairdressers. I have always looked at Wella as having similar interests. It is an honor and a privilege to be associated with such an amazing brand.”

Carranza commented, “Oribe is a legend in his own right within the salon industry and has achieved success in many capacities as a stylist, from his celebrity clientele to his editorial work to his leadership as the Creative Director of a remarkable product company. He has also taken his achievements to the next level to share his decades of experience by educating the next generation of stylists. Wella and Oribe Hair Care are completely aligned in our goal to assist and inspire hairdressers to achieve their dreams.”

To kick off the alliance, Oribe will headline a special stage presentation for Wella Professionals at the annual Intercoiffure America/Canada event at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City on October 15-17, 2011. Oribe will also appear as an inspirational guest artist at Wella Professionals 2011 International Trend Vision Awards event on Saturday, October 29 in New York City, exclusively for an audience of top North American hairdressers.

During that weekend, Wella Professionals will host thousands of industry enthusiasts and passionate stylists from across the globe as they watch stylists compete for the coveted awards in “Young Talent” and “Color” categories and the release of Wella Professionals 2012 International Trend Vision collection.
