The Western Beauty Rep Association was established in the mid 1980s and celebrated its 27th year with its annual buying event, The Western Buying Conference. Each year the WBC kicks off the show season with its gathering, which was held January 21-22, 2013 at Bally’s Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
According to Harlan Kirschner, president of The Kirschner Group, this year’s event was attended by approximately 400 companies, including manufacturers, distributors, reps and beauty stores. Attendance reached 800, almost double last year’s attendance. The Kirschner Group was represented by more than 30 of its sales executives. The Kirschner Group is a sponsor and exhibitor at the event where it represented its manufacturer partners in the hair, skin care and nail industries.
Vinnie Curcio, a member of The Kirschner Group’s sales team in the Northeast, was named the company’s Sales Executive of the Year for 2012, receiving the “A World of Difference Award.”
