Joico and ISO executives along with each brand's field sales and education staffers from the U.S. and Canada gathered recently in Cancun, Mexico for the annual North American Sales Conference.
Special guests included Zotos President and CEO Ron Krassin, Executive Vice President of Corporate Planning Tim Takagi and Chief Financial Officer Herb Nieporent.
Sara Jones, senior vice president and general manager, outlined an impressive five year growth history, highlighted by Joico's 2005 re-stage and the launch of many innovative products.
"We are in the fortunate position of having momentum behind us, and when combined with our key initiatives for 2009, that's a recipe for success regardless of market conditions," she said.
Wolf Heim, vice president of marketing, added, "It has been the focus on key brands, innovative products and strong salon relationships that has been instrumental in our growth."
Jones unveiled the new mission and core values statement: In Every Salon, In Every Home, All for the Love of Beauty.
"We all do what we do for the love of leading, innovating, creating, sharing, inspiring and growing," she said, "And, most of all, we do what we do for the love of beauty,"
Corporate plans for 2009 were revealed during the following key presentations:
Candy Gebhardt, director of color, introduced the new i.Luminate demi-permanent color, Vero K-Pak Color Balancing Additives and Vero K-Pak color Crème Lightener.
Joico Haircare Brand Manager Korrie Gutierrez introduced K-Pak color Therapy, a line of color protecting products.
Stacey Gomez, brand manager for Joico re:nu, announced the addition of Shine Mist, Finishing Polish and Softening Masque to the line of anti-aging products. Guest speaker Susan Cox delivered a presentation titled "Ageless Beauty."
Joico International Artistic Director Damien Carney and Vero K-Pak Artistic Director Sue Pemberton presented the new Joico trend  collection, Minimum/Maximum. Joico's new J. Cutting and J. Color education initiatives were also introduced.
Patrick O'Keefe, director of communications, presented the 2009 promotional and public relations agenda for color, re:nu, K-Pak Color Therapy and ISO Beautiful Price Programs.
Addam Moreno, i.Design Team Artistic Director, and Team Member Darby Shields presented ISO's new ISO.Chromatic collection, a music-inspired trend release.
ISO Brand Manager Emily Alegado presented a preview of new ISO products debuting in 2009.
Zotos Vice President of Operations Anthony Perdigao described the company's slate of eco-friendly and green programs.
Krassin summed up the presentations with, "This conference was informative, exciting and energizing. I have no doubt this team is armed and ready to face any challenges that 2009 brings."
