Joico guest artist, Ben Mollin, a contestant on the first season of Bravo's Shear Genius, hosted the Supreme Salon Tour-Hair War Battle in Las Vegas.
The final round of the national Supreme Salon Tour was battled out by finalists from regional competitions previously held in Chicago, Phoenix and Las Vegas. Joico was the hair care sponsor and provided gift bags to the crowd of 650 who attended the finale at the Wasted Space club in Las Vegas Hard Rock.
The competition was won by the staff of Tonic Salon in Las Vegas, whose winning "circus sideshow" theme combined hair, make-up, fashion, music and body painting. Supreme Salon Tours are held at club venues around the country. The Wasted Space event was filmed as a pilot and Mollin reports that it has been presented to several cable networks as a possible new salon reality show with him as the host.
"This is such a great way for salons to get involved in a truly creative event-we'd love to see competitions held all over the world," says Mollin.
