Festive holiday packaging on products and tools, along with beautiful displays and limited edition kits, will tempt clients with lots to explore on your retail shelves and tables this season. Cosmoprof offers extra support with posters, shelf talkers, easel signs and holiday bags. It's all yours free with purchase of Holiday offer—ask your Salon Consultant for details!
In addition, you can get the most from the gifting season with a little thoughtful preparation:
Designate an area in your salon for Holiday. When creating any displays, follow the formula of 80/20: 80% of the total display should be product, with decorations and accessories taking 20%.
Remember the key areas in your salon: reception, the first and last place that your clients visit; retail—make sure you have enough inventory; styling stations, where stylists can talk to clients about holiday gift needs; and windows, perfect for showcasing products and services for neighborhood walkers and drivers.
Promote gift certificates. During the holidays especially, gift certificates are ideal for the hard-to-shop-for person on your clients’ lists. Specify that they can be used for both salon services and products.
Off er free gift wrapping. Clients appreciate it when you save them time!
Let your clients experience a sample. Offer a product mini or quickie service like a hand treatment or mini-facial. It will help support your product sell-through.
Mix up your usual fare. Offer items during the holidays that you do not carry at other times of the year. Keep in mind that the most difficult person to shop for is someone in the $10 to $20 range, and fill the gap!
Spotlight impulse buys. Lotions, bath gels, nail polish and other little goodies make great gifts for teachers, neighbors, co-workers and service providers.
Tuck in a business card. Every gift receiver should know that the gift was purchased at your salon.
