THE DETAILS: In its 19 years, this show has exploded in terms of attendance, educational opportunities, stage presentations and a wide range of exhibitors offering the ultimate shopping experience. The highlights of this year’s show included a main stage featuring headliners like Robert Cromeans, Kim Vo, Orlando Pita, Nicholas French, Wayne Grund and Sam Villa; Hair Color Today, Global Texturing and Barbering education, Nail World and the Premiere DaySpa Conference.
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES: The popular Hands On and Advanced Saturday Workshops gave professionals the chance to learn one-on-one from Fernando Salas of White Sands, Adrienne Rogers of Product Club, Ivan Zoot of Andis, Jeffrey Paul of New Concepts Hair Goods, Jaime Schrabeck of Precision Nails, Rita Page of ProLight Aesthetics, Ken Cassidy of Kassidy’s Management, James Wealthy of Brow Lash Art, Bryan Durocher of Durocher Enterprises and Behnam Bakhshandeh of Primeco Consulting. The Premiere DaySpa Conference included the Spa Business Forum and Massage Education for massage therapists at all levels.
PARTY PERFECT: John Paul Mitchell Systems hosted a 1980s-era benefit party, complete with Prom Queen and King coronation, at Orlando’s House of Blues to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. The proceeds to the PanCan Action Network will be made in honor of company co-founder Paul Mitchell.
