Pivot Point International, a global leader in beauty education, today announced the appointment of Kevin Cameron as Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development to strengthen the Company’s strategy and marketing. Cameron will begin his tenure effective May 19, 2014 reporting to Melanie Kopeikin, President.

“In Kevin we found a proven leader with an acute sense for market trends and vision for the beauty industry. This is exactly what Pivot Point needs as the company enters its next phase of expanded innovation and growth while preserving the legacy of my father Leo Passage,” said Robert Passage, Chairman and CEO of Pivot Point.

Cameron joins Pivot Point from KAO Corporation most recently serving as Senior Director of Global Brand Management. At KAO he established an admirable trajectory for 16 years leading global marketing and education initiatives for the professional brands KMS California and GOLDWELL. He instituted a North American training facility that was both commercially driven and highly advanced in curriculum and training methods. Additionally during a rotation with KAO Germany he created the first ever Global Communications and Product Education Department for GOLDWELL.

As Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development Cameron will oversee the Pivot Point brand and be responsible for all marketing and product positioning efforts.

"Joining Pivot Point is an honor and an immensely gratifying opportunity to carry out Leo Passage’s mission of empowerment through education,” Kevin Cameron said. “Prior to entering the executive force, quite similar to Leo, I started my career in the beauty industry as a stylist, salon/spa owner and stage performer, and it’s with those shared beginnings that I identify very strongly with Pivot Point and look forward to the future.”
