The Lydia Sarfati Post-Graduate Skin Care Academy has released their class schedule for 2015. Brand new course line up includes technique, skin care science, business know-how, and Repêchage product knowledge.
Located at the Repêchage Headquarters in Secaucus, NJ, classes are open to all estheticians, cosmetologists, spa and salon owners, and personnel. Each class is designed to empower attendees with superior scientific knowledge, treatment performance, and spa business information.

Six members of the Wahl Education and Artistic Team (W.E.A.T.) had the opportunity to take their talents around the globe to teach techniques and learn the trends of other cultures. W.E.A.T’s own Christina Goree, Nieves Almaraz, Kristi Faulkner, Rick Morin, Garland “G-Whiz” Fox and Laura VanderMoere each traveled abroad this year to showcase techniques and trends in Russia, Mexico, Brazil and England.

Sheahan comes with a strong background in hair color as well as practical education for the JOICO, ISO and Minardi brands. Emma previously worked with the Cal Martini Color Group in Beverly Hills and Que Bella Salon, and also had extensive experience working as an Advisor and educator for Joico Vero K-PAK Color.
Great Clips, the world’s largest salon brand, encourages Americans to thank veterans in a tangible way this, by awarding awarding them a free haircut. It’s part of Great Clips’ “Thank a Veteran” promotion, and it’s one small gesture with a powerful message of appreciation. Customers who come in for a service on Veterans Day, (Nov. 11) get a free haircut card to give to a veteran. The free haircut cards are redeemable all the way through the end of 2014.
Maisie Dunbar, Maisie Dunbar Spa Lounge, has been selected to receive the distinguished 2014 Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award. Hers was the only beauty business to be recognized. Stenson, a beauty industry veteran, directs two tiers of educators: a Design Team, consisting of four Artistic Regional Leaders; and 55 full-time educators, strategically placed throughout the country, called Artistic Lead Designers.

When he spoke at the Royal Albert Hall, he gave a shout-out to the Mascolo Brothers and it felt so great. Just before he passed, Bruno and I went to lunch with him and had some great chats. Forty years after his short cut on Twiggy, we are still working off of what he did such a long time ago.
