AACS Board of Directors Re-elected for 2014The American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) members have reelected all board of director incumbents to serve another term. The AACS Board of Director election results were announced during the AACS Annual Convention and Expo in Las Vegas, Nov. 15-18.

Don Yearwood, president and CEO of Carousel Beauty Colleges & the Spa Institute in Dayton, OH, will serve a three-year term as the president of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) board of directors. Anthony Civitano, owner, Long Island Beauty Schools, Hair Design Institute and New York Institute of Beauty will serve the board as vice president.

Incumbents who will continue to serve on the AACS board are as follows: Frank Cacciato, Jr., owner, Katherine Frank Creative; Karyn Laitis, vice president – academic and student services, Marinello Schools of Beauty; Lynelle Lynch, president and owner, Bellus Academy; Tam Nguyen, president and owner, Advance Beauty College; and Frank Trieu, director, Evergreen Beauty College. The board of directors extends its thanks to Christine Gordon, AACS past president for her leadership and service over the course of her three year tenure.
