Ivan Zoot, director of education for Andis, is known for the speed at which he can render a great looking clipper cut. Zoot holds three Guinness World Records: fastest hair cut (55 minutes), most hair cuts in an hour (34)and most continuous cuts in 24 hours (340).  Zoot has announced that he will take on all challengers at the upcoming Spring 2009 Barnum Fashion Focus in Cleveland May 3-4.

Entrants in the race must be licensed barbers or stylists or registered cosmetology students. “I’d love to see a big turnout,” says Zoot who adds that contestants must bring their own Andis clipper (no scissors or razors), purchase a ticket to the Barnum Fashion Focus and pay a $100 entry fee, which will be donated to a local barber school to provide tuition and tools to needy students.

Andis is providing contestants with a mannequin head and technical cutting directions. Everyone who completes the cut will receive a free gift from Andis.
