THE EVENT:

The launch of "Signature Series," the make-up session and photo shoot designed for salon professionals to develop cosmetic application skills. Your Name Cosmetics sponsored the first session, giving its professional make-up kit to all attending.

THE DETAILS: The hands-on elite event was open to just five salon professionals and held at the Roberto Ligresti Studio in New York City. The day began with an informative presentation by Brenda Gallagher, director of sales for Your Name Professional Brands. Each attendee received the professional kit in addition to select necessities, including highlighters and primers designed to create the perfect cover face.

THE BEST PART: Celebrity and cover make-up artist David Maderich instructed each attendee on color choice and proper application. Intense four-hour, step-by-step education filled the morning. Professional models arrived in the afternoon for the attendees to use their new skills and kits to create a cover-worthy make-up design. Maderich worked one on one with each artist during the application phase of the session. Roberto Ligresti captured each look on set and gave a disc of the finished looks for the artists to use in their portfolios.

PARTING WORDS: Jacquelyn Sasso, hair stylist and make-up artist from the Panico Salons in New Jersey, packed up her new kit and said, "I have learned more today than I have in the past four years of make-up lessons and experiences. Everything David taught just made sense!" says Sasso. "And then to execute that new knowledge on a great model is even better. I even got to do the hair! It's great to complete an entire beauty look. This will now be the best picture in my portfolio."

THE NEXT EVENT: Future Make-Up Signature Series will be held in New York City this spring. For more details go to davidmaderich.com.
