Zenagen provides natural products that create a healthy environment to promote hair growth for stylists and salon owners to prescribe to their clients. Zenagen’s shampoo-based therapies harness the restorative powers of natural ingredients through nutraceutical technology. Fusing beauty and science, Zenagen’s Revolve Systems targets hair loss in men and women, and its Evolve System targets damage repair and accelerated growth. All Zenagen products are color-safe, vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free.

For MODERN SALON readers, Zenagen is providing a full-size complimentary Revolve Collection Kit (a three-month supply)! Find out more here.

Why did Zenagen get involved in topical treatments?

Zenagen Creator and Founder Jared Reynolds first began searching for hair loss solutions when, as a medical student, he began to notice his own hair thinning and shedding. Through his studies, Reynolds determined that nutraceutical ingredients and technologies were the key to an untapped natural and convenient hair loss solution.

It’s important for our clients and salon partners to know that Zenagen’s success story started with a real, first-hand experience with a frustrating—and all too often, discouraging—hair loss problem. The personal impact of our products on people’s confidence and self-esteem is what launched our company, and it’s what fuels our ongoing commitment to innovation and results.

How does Zenagen help salons drive revenue?

Zenagen creates a new category and service for salon owners by offering take-home treatments for fine, thinning or damaged hair. Our two-step systems comprises a shampoo treatment and conditioner for home use three times per week, with each treatment application lasting just five minutes. Zenagen can be used in conjunction with any existing client regimen.

What demographic does Zenagen best serve?

Zenagen offers two product lines serving different needs: the Revolve line is for men and women’s hair loss, and the Evolve line is for damage repair and faster hair growth for women. Men use Revolve to target the onset of hereditary male pattern baldness and/or current hair thinning and shedding. Women 40 and over typically benefit most from Revolve for Women system, which reduces shedding and hair loss symptoms commonly associated with the aging process. The Evolve line is designed for women who experience dry, damaged hair, or who wish to grow their hair longer and healthier. Zenagen has had success stories from those experiencing hair loss symptoms from thyroid issues and postpartum changes as well. Seventy percent of all salon customers will fit into either the Revolve category for fine, thinning hair, or the Evolve category for damage repair and accelerated growth.

What education does Zenagen provide?

In addition to in-salon education, we offer education at trade shows throughout the country. We have also developed a new education platform called Evolution Beauty, which brings together nationally recognized artists and educators to teach and inspire passionate hair stylists. We want to connect and elevate our industry by developing a culture and atmosphere where peers can learn from one another by sharing techniques and trends, and learning how to successfully grow individual businesses through effective management, retail strategies and social media engagement.

What spokespeople, educators or all-star stylists represent Zenagen?

Jody Haun, Josh McMichen and Lee Rittiner bring their own experiences and talents to the industry with celebrity clientele and educational platform work. Zenagen also has nationally recognized salon partners such as Gene Juarez in Seattle and Charles Penzone Salons in Columbus, Ohio. These salons are widely respected in the beauty industry not only for the level of their artistry, but for their commitment to education and customer service. Last year at Cosmoprof North America, we were selected as a Beauty Pitch finalist to pitch Shark Tank’s Mark Cuban, as well as the co-founder of Paul Mitchell Systems and Patrón spirits, John Paul DeJoria. This high-profile platform provided Zenagen an opportunity to showcase its innovative technology.
