FASHION WEEK: Essie's Neutral & Wine Nails at Richard Chai

By Lauren Salapatek | 02/10/2012 3:11:00 PM

Neutral cream nails with a semi matte finish were the trend seen at Richard Chai's 2012 Autumn/Winter show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. To achieve the look from the show, use two coats of essie glamour purse topped off with essie man-e-cure for a suble matte finish. "This manicure was inspired by the gorgeous wool, cashmere clothing in Richard's collection," says Essie Weingarten. "The matte finish on the nails complimented the textures of the fabric beautifully."

Crossing over to the other side of the color spectrum, dark wine colored nails and dusty make-up were the hit trends seen at Costello Tagliapietra's 2012 Autumn/Winter show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. To achieve this sultry look, layer a mix of essie bourdeaux and carry on with little brown dress on top. "Universally flattering chocolate browns and wines are carried throughout the collection and the nails mirrored the designers sumptuous palette," says Weingarten.
