Introducing the next-level chignon spotted at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week 2014.
The style was created by Schwarzkopf Professional Brand Ambassador Michael Dueñas for the Alice + Olivia show. Dueñas says the weaving of silk scarves into a classic chignon creates "subtle statement."

STEP 1: Apply two golf-ball-sized portions of OSiS+ Grip Extreme Hold Mousse to dry hair from scalp to ends for control and shine. Part hair in the middle.
STEP 2: Dry hair flat toward the head using the SKP-PRO Heat Dryer Powered by FHI and gather hair into a low, tight ponytail with finger texture. Leave out two small sections of hair near the hairline. Secure with hook elastic.
STEP 3: Fold a scarf to match the length of hair and pull through the elastic to secure to ponytail. With the scarf in the middle, section the ponytail into two parts to create a three-section braid. Braid to the ends and wrap braid into a tight bun and secure with large pins.
Hide ends of the scarf inside the bun, tuck loose hair behind the ears and add a slight wave to the ends. Finish with OSiS+ Elastic Flexible Hold Hairspray.
