THE EVENT: TIGI World Release 2015 blew the top off the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV (August 22-25, 2015), with a gathering of nearly 2,000 hairdressers, TIGI salons owners and fans, who came to see the unveiling of the 2016 collection and the latest product release from TIGI. On-stage presentations, the latest TIGI cut-and-color techniques, a TIGI mall and a finale that calls to mind the phrase, ‘must be seen to be believed’ were all part of this once-a-year event.

THE DETAILS:  Founder and International Artistic Director, Anthony Mascolo, his wife, Pat Mascolo, and the TIGI Creative Team, worked tirelessly for months preparing to mount this mammoth presentation. MODERN SALON and the press were invited to take a sneak peek backstage on Monday to view the carefully crafted costumes, bespoke color and couture cuts and style.  That afternoon, the TIGI tribe took the stage during the day to present new campaigns for Copyright Colour, Bedhead, Catwalk and S Factor, showcasing the latest product innovations on live models via cut, color and styling demonstrations.

“TIGI World Release is a celebration of TIGI and its commitment to the professional hairdresser,” Mascolo says. “I believe my team is my extended family. Attending World Release is an invitation to join that family to share our incredible experiences, see our latest work and gain insight into our future ideas.”

THE EVENING: Following this afternoon of education and inspiration, the audience returned for an evening finale that wove a spell. Live music, dance, smoke, fire and fierce, fierce hairdressing were on display. Neon was the suggested dress for the afterparty.
