It's what we would like to call the half & half. You may have spotted them done at beauty trade shows, or more commonly on men in barber shops. But we have found that this look (which features half regular length hair and half graphic styled) is gaining more popularity on social media. We are seeing more of these kinds of photo submissions on modernsalon.com and on Instagram. If you haven't brushed up on your graphic skills, it might be time...

This could be a foreshadowing of an upcoming trend this Spring or Summer 2015.

Above, Stylist Shonda Broadus describes to us how to kicked up her client's undercut a notch.

"I decided to create an ombre using Schwarzkopf Igora Royal and 30 vol with Olaplex to lift her haircolor. Afterwards, I let her process for 25 minutes and then rinsed out the product. Hair was towel-dried and I applied Schwarzkopf Professional 7-57 and 8-77 with a pinch of 6-7 by using a colormelt technique. I let my client process for another 15 mintues and then rinsed, shampooed and freshed up her undercut with some graphics!"
