Haircolor magician Rebecca Taylor, possibly known more commonly by her very popular Instagram handle, @vividartistichairdesign, is teaming up with Pravana to showcase the staying power of Pravana's new Vivids Locked-In Colors (available July 2015). 

The beauty of Vivids Locked-In is that colorists can create multi-dimensional, multi-hued designs on hair without fear of transfer or bleeding.

Taylor used inspiration from clothing line Clashist's sand art collection to paint a rainbow of colors on fashion blogger Hieu's hair. Video and steps below!

STEP 1: Apply Pravana Pure Light Power Lightener with your choice of developer to achieve all-over level 10 hair.

STEP 2: Shampoo, condition and dry hair completely.

STEP 3: Mix formulas.
Poppy Red: 1 part Vivids Locked-In Pink + 1 part Vivids Locked-In Yellow + dot of Vivids Clear
Plum: 1 part Vivids Locked-In Purple + 1 part Vivids Locked-In Pink + dot of Vivids Clear
Yellow: Vivids Locked-In Yellow + dot of Vivids Clear
Lime Green: Vivids Locked-In Yellow + dot of Vivids Locked-In Teal + dot of Vivids Clear
Pink: Vivids Locked-In Pink + dot of Vivids Clear
Teal: Vivids Locked-In Teal + dot of Vivids Clear
Blue: Vivids Locked-In Blue + dot of Vivids Clear
Red: Vivids Locked-In Red + dot of Vivids Clear

STEP 4: Starting in the nape and working up, section hair in horizontal zig-zags.

STEP 5: Cover the perimeter of each section witth one color from top down three inches. Blend complementary colors through midshaft and ends.

STEP 6: Your last section should straddle the natural parting.

STEP 7: Process 20 minutes at room temperature.

STEP 8: Rinse. Colors should not bleed with Pravana Locked-In colors. Shampoo, condition and protect with Pravana Vivids Color Protect.
