On Sunday November 23, 2014, the international hairdressing world came together in glamorous Monaco to recognize and celebrate the industry’s best talent at the International TrendVision Awards (ITVA) and to be inspired by the 2015 trend reveal. Now in its 12th year, the 2014 International TrendVision Awards remains one of the most exciting events in the hairdressing industry. This year’s ITVA finalists – 61 stylists and colorists from 34 countries – competed in two categories, Color and Young Talent, with their looks inspired by the 2014 TrendVision trends, Urban Native and Borderline Beauty.

In addition, the People’s Choice Awards in each category were chosen by hairdressing fans all over the world. Wella’s interactive voting experience gave people the opportunity to stream the live show on its website and vote for competitors in real time, making the ITVAs a truly global event. The awards ceremony was broadcast live from Monaco, and remains available on www.wella.com/live for those looking to support local talent or to inspire creativity.

THE AWARDS:

The prestigious Platinum Color Award was won by Chia-Jung Lin from Taiwan. Lyndal Salmon (Australia), Nattapat Suppala (Thailand) and Chinney Yeap (New Zealand) were also recognised with for their talent in the color category. It’s very late in Taiwan, but I know people have stayed up to watch online and support me, for which I am very grateful.”

The highly contested Platinum Young Talent Award was won by Nestor Sanchez Gomez from the UK. Lenka Walderová (Czech Republic), Olga Istrati (Moldova) and Scott Condon (Australia) were awarded the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in the category. Thank you, Wella!”
