In the not so distant past, most clients looked forward to their salon appointment as a time to focus on themselves, relax and leave their cares behind. But let’s face it, while the pandemic still has us in its grip, venturing anywhere out of the house can cause stress for many.

Three salons recently incorporated welcoming rituals, using Eufora products, into their salon and spa services to encourage clients to relax, while also easing the frustration of wearing the required mask for an extended period.

Take a Deep Breath
At the Vann Studio Salon in Seattle, Washington, the team gives arriving guests a disposable mask sented with their choice of Eufora Essential Oil. (Guests are asked to choose a scent when booking their appointment). The disposable mask is sealed in a bag for sanitation purposed and safely disposed of after the guest’s departure.

“Not only does this keep the guest’s personal mask from getting wet or soiled during the service, but the fresh mask and robe put the client in a more relaxed state of mind,” says Owner Lisa Vann. “The scented mask also gives the stylist a great ice breaker when it comes to retailing the Eufora Wellness Collection of Oils and Candles.”
A sanitation station includes signage that explains the scent blends in each oil, while encouraging guests to take a deep breath, through their masks, of course.

Time to Unwind
To make the arrival experience more seamless and less stressful at Emerge Modern Salon in Englewood, Colorado, the team sends COVID releases to the guest via text prior to their appointment. Along with the release, guests receive an invitation to select their “arrival aroma experience”—either UnWind, InLove, DeStress or ReNew.

Upon arrival, guests get a quick temperature check, then they receive a scent strip dipped in their aroma of choice.

“The scent strip is a sanitary way to let guests apply the aroma to their own masks by gently dabbing it onto the outer edges,” says Founder Ivy Overby. “Not only does this relax the guest, but it opens the door to a conversation about how to use Eufora essential oil blends for instant attitude adjustments.”

Kickstart to Hair Health
At Goode Hair Studio in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Owner Katie Bruce launched a welcome back ritual for guests who had been away from the salon for a while. Now it is also offered to new guests.

“The treatment gives the stylist the cleanest palette to work with by gently starting to remove unwanted build up from drug store shampoos/conditioners as well as other at-home DIY processes," says Bruce, who is an American Board-Certified Hair Colorist. "We start with Eufora Urgent Repair Shampoo, lathering well and then capping the hair. The guest is then placed under a hood dryer for 15 minutes. This will gently kick start the removal of anything in the hair that doesn’t belong there.  It works to detox from buildup and also works great to remove chlorine and other minerals.  After the 15 minutes, the shampoo is rinsed out, and we follow with an application of Eufora Urgent Repair Treatment and a rejuvenating scalp massage."

"At home recommendation for new guests is Urgent Repair Shampoo and Urgent Repair Treatment," Bruce continues. "Once they finish the first bottle, we reevaluate the health of their hair and can make a recommendation on the best duo for their regular cleanse and treat regimen.”
