Now in its eight season, NAILS Magazine’s Next Top Nail Artist (NTNA) is the premiere competition within the professional nail industry. This year, NAILS is delighted to be partnering with CND to bring this challenge to life.
Contestants who enter NTNA undergo a rigorous screening process where every brush stroke is scrutinized. After carefully evaluating hundreds of intricate hand-painted looks, sculpted acrylics, brushed on gels, and an array of mixed-media.
The finalists are competing against each other through a series of design challenges, and Challenge #3 is in and ready for viewing and voting!
Here is the challenge issued to the finalists for Week #3:
CND’s Solar Oil is a legend within the nail industry. Solar Oil helps to hydrate and nourish, creating stronger, healthier nails. This challenge celebrates all things solar…and lunar. For this challenge, you’ll create celestial-inspired nail art on two hands. Because Solar Oil is cuticle oil, we want to see this section of the nail represented in your artwork. Your celestial nail art must contain artwork at the lunula of all 10 nails. To create your nail design, we ask that you harness the power of CND Brisa Gel for all nail enhancements and 3-D artwork. You can add color with Shellac, Vinylux, or embellishments but no L&P or Plexi-Gel is to be used for this challenge. Create a 5-7 minute video showing us how you used Brisa along with your inspiration for this design.
