Self-described "lived-in color" specialist, educator and MODERN SALON Artist Connective Member Amy Baugh @hairbyamybee is finding—and sharing—new techniques and products to boost her blonding results this summer.

For this model, Bee created a partial version of her popular, high-contrast ribbon foilayage technique, using Dual Purpose Lightener by Paul Mitchell (@paulmitchellpro)

"The technique is high-impact without a ton of foils," she says, adding that Paul Mitchell's Dual Purpose LIghtener is "amazing because it's dust-free and has natural conditioning oils to protect the hair while lifting."

Creating "ribbons" is one of Bee's many color specialties,  and a current favorite pro technique, "whether I’m painting or foiling," she says.  For this model version, she turned again to Paul Mitchell Dual Purpose Lightener.

Bee created a third "warm-weather warm-up" effect for summer, this time opting for Paul Mitchell  SynchroLift+ Ultra-Quick Blue Powder Lightener to get the precise lift she needed.

"This lightener is awesome because SynchroLift+ is infused with shea to help soften and condition hair, and it can get up to 9 levels of lift!"

Staying on trend, Bee prefers to add a bit of bounce to all her blondes this summer, finishing with a touch of texture spray and a  1.25-inch barrel iron.
