If you're an independent salon professional, working as your own boss, then you might think about taxes and tax preparation paperwork all year round. Many pay on a quarterly basis, so financial preparedness is ongoing.

April McDaniel, a CPA and CRPA with Kopse Otte CPAs and Advisors, has been a speaker at our Data Driven Salon Summit (happening this weekend in Nashville) and understands the professional salon industry and how it works.  She took time to speak with MODERN SALON's Content Director Anne Moratto about the things that might throw up a warning, red flag to the Internal Revenue Service in a tax return.
