Bridgerton and Derry Girls actress, Nicola Coughlan, was a vision in pink and black couture, and elegant, shining long locks.  Her sleek hairstyle was created by celebrity hairstylist Halley Brisker for this year’s Met Gala in celebration of, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”

Inspiration:

“With Nicola cultivating a reputation for strong beauty looks we wanted to create a sense of opulence while keeping it tasteful,” said Halley Brisker. “We decided to transform her usual bob cut into long blonde locks (with the addition of hair extensions) and added feathers to create a fairytale reveal on the carpet.”

Get The Look:

  • Prior to styling, towel dry wet hair and apply a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment or Moroccanoil Treatment Light for finer hair and lighter tones — on mid-lengths to ends to provide the perfect foundation for styling.
  • Next, use a generous amount of Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion throughout the hair from roots to ends and apply Moroccanoil Perfect Defense throughout to protect the hair before blow drying into a central parting.
  • Once a bouncy blowout is achieved, run the flat iron through on medium heat to enhance shine and close the cuticle.
  • Next, use a large round tong to wrap large sections around and purposely leave unclipped so the hair can relax into a gentle soft finish as it cools.
  • Spray Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine into the hands and work through in 4 or 5 large sections before brushing through to soften the finish.
  • Lastly, push hair back over shoulders to reveal the dress and finish with the Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to provide a long-lasting hold and keep flyaways down.
