Golden Bowl by Anakin Chan.

May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI) and celebrates AAPI contributions to many facets of American culture and society, including science, medicine, literature, art, sports, recreation, law, activism, pop culture and beauty.

Anakin Chan, @Anakin66hairpro is an award-winning stylist, American Board Certified Colorist and artistic director. Originally from Hong Kong, Anakin earned his expertise in the US, Paris, London, and China where he studied fashion styling, hair, and makeup.

In 2008, Anakin began working at Bubbles Salon in Maryland, eventually becoming a master stylist and an international ambassador for Hair Cuttery Family of Brands. Over the past 12 years, Anakin has competed in various international competitions and was recently nominated as a semifinalist for a 2022 Contessa International award and this year’s International Beauty Industry awards.

The youthful-looking Chan has created both runway and street-ready looks for nearly two decades and has a strong passion for avant-garde and high-fashion color and styling. He says the 90’s trends are back and K-POP inspired bowl cuts are in.
