It’s no secret: Oribe has mastered the art of engaging and enthralling our senses. To know Oribe is to know an unforgettable sensation, experience, and scent. Since the brand’s inception in 2008, it has not only offered stylists a product line that pushes the boundaries of performance— but has made devotees from its signature Cote d’Azur fragrance.

Last fall, Oribe introduced two new scents into the line – Desertland and Valley of Flowers – by way of fine eau de parfums. The brand continues to evolve beyond haircare and into lifestyle—now introducing salons to artfully-crafted candles and bodycare, available in all three fragrances.

The Importance of Scent

We perceive the world through five basic senses: touch, sight, hearing, taste, and smell. Oribe is an expert on the most powerful sense of all—smell—and has designed its products to transport us to another time and place with its powerful fragrances.

Every Oribe fragrance is highly curated, formulated, and designed to transport stylists and their clients to a place they’ve never been before. Below, we take a dive into the all-new bodycare and candle collections, the three Oribe scents, and the aesthetic packaging that can and absolutely should be repurposed.

Stunning Fragrances

Côte d’Azur

Cote d’Azur—the scent that started it all—is the signature of the Oribe brand, running all the way through the product line. The top notes of bergamot, black currant, and Sicilian orange deliver a bright freshness. At the heart of the scent is mariposa blanca, the national flower of Cuba, where founder Oribe Canales was born. In the background is a beautiful trail of amber and sandalwood.

Desertland is a desert that is alive and in bloom. Top notes of juniper berry and aromatic lavender hit you like a ray of sunshine. At the heart of the scent is pincushion wildflower--a relative of the sunflower that can be experienced during the superbloom in Death Valley. The base of the fragrance is warm notes of Texas Cedar and Vetiver.

Valley of Flowers

Valley of Flowers adds a delicate spin to a classic floral scent. Imagine a European field of flowers in full bloom and you get the picture. Enter a magical dreamscape with a top note of Bulgarian rose. Peony petals mark its floral center. Meeting the end of your nose is a hug of warm amber.

Introducing Oribe Candle Collection

Greet clients with the inviting aroma of an Oribe candle glowing seductively in the salon reception area. Your client can go home with their hair smelling amazing, and they can now make their own home smell amazing as well. Anyone who is #oribeobsessed can pick the 8oz candle of their favorite scent, Cote d’Azur, Desertland, or Valley of Flowers.

The candles are made from a vegan-friendly wax blend of coconut and soy, and the wick is made of cotton fiber. These 8oz candles burn for approximately 50 hours with a recommended burning time of four hours in one sitting. For the best experience, Oribe recommends trimming the candlewick to ¼ inch before each use. Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Once your candle has burned all the way through, decorate your space with the vessel or use it as a stylish container for tools and accessories.

Re-introducing Oribe Bodycare

Replenishing Body Wash and Restorative Body Crème

Replenishing Body Wash and Restorative Body Crème

Replenishing Body Wash

This iridescent cleanser gently nourishes and restores moisture loss while leaving skin lusciously soft with a locked-in scent. Key ingredients include “a blend of Sweet Almond, Meadowfoam and Starflower Oils to rejuvenate skin while protecting against dryness, as well as Rice Oil to lock in hydration. These are combined with Passionflower Oil to calm skin and Carrot Root Extract, which brightens and improves skin tone for a healthier and more youthful appearance,” says Michele Burgess, Executive Director of Product Development for Oribe.

Restorative Body Crème

The Body Crème also gently moisturizes skin and uses Olive Oil to protect against free radicals and oxidation. Jojoba restores the skin’s moisture barrier and promotes elasticity, Shea Butter deeply hydrates, and Sodium Hyaluronate and Aloe Leaf Juice rejuvenate skin for a longer, healthier glow.

Artfully-Crafted and Endlessly-Reusable Packaging

Candle Vessels

The brilliant candle vessels are designed to be a showpiece and conversation starter. Inspired by sculptural works, architecture, and jewelry design, the bold twisting denotes the brand’s blend of modern with the natural. Beautiful domed bases use color to identify each scent. These unique and aesthetically-pleasing vessels are encouraged to be displayed once the wax is burned through as a work of art or reused however the stylist sees fit, such as a carrier for shears or hot tools.

Candle vessels are made of glass and are 100% recyclable and 100% reusable.

Redesigned Bodycare

With the introduction of two new fragrances, Desertland and Valley of flowers, the brand has reimagined and redesigned its bodycare packaging to align with its fragrance bottle designs, with defiantly bold facets and shapes.

“The packaging has been re-envisioned to be in line with the updated Oribe lifestyle collection and is made from sustainable materials,” says Vince Stavale, Director of Packaging. “Oribe engaged a reputable third party to conduct a life cycle analysis of multiple packaging material types and found that the refillable 100% PCR plastic bottle has the lowest carbon footprint vs. other materials or single-use solutions. The bottles and pumps are reusable/refillable and 100% recyclable. The cartons are recyclable as well, and all Oribe paper-based packaging is made from materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)”.

The Oribe Bodycare and Candle Collections are available on Oribe.com and at Oribe salons and retailers nationwide.
