ISSE to Host 2010 Legends and Icons Gala

The International Salon & Spa Expo (ISSE), along with the Professional Beauty Association, will host the National Cosmetology Association's Legends and Icons Charity Gala on Saturday January 30, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach Hotel. The event, which honors the contributions of industry leaders who have indelibly impacted the professional beauty industry, will celebrate Anne Mincey with a Legend Award and Robert Cromeans and Christopher and Sonya Dove with Icon Awards.

This year's Legends and Icons Gala will be co-chaired by Mark Goodman, NCA president and Bruce Selan, vice president of Zotos, International and chair of the PBA Board of Directors and will include a cocktail reception, dinner and dancing. The gala also raises awareness of the NCA's charitable initiatives and proceeds will go to NCA Cares, a three-part outreach that includes Look Good…Feel Better, Cut it Out/Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund and the NCA Disaster Relief Fund.

Ann Mincey's long-time career with Redken has allowed her to motivate, inspire and support countless salon professionals, distributors and salon clients. She is currently chief spokesperson for the Redken brand and has been honored by every major industry organization and association.

Robert Cromeans is a salon owner, platform artist, educator and John Paul Mitchell Systems' global artistic director. His stage presence, style and humor have helped him share the secrets of his success with salon professionals around the world.

Christopher and Sonya Dove are among the world's most well known stylists and trendsetters as well as two of the most sought-after presenters in the industry. The Doves travel globally on behalf of Wella hair color, styling and hair care products.
