Clémence Poésy's Urban Edge StyleWhether turning heads at a film premiere or doing her star turn on the red carpet as the new face of G-Star Raw, French actress Clémence Poésy (who also appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1,127 Hours and In Bruges) always evokes a modern élan, the epitome of young, hip Parisian flair.

Here, Celebrity Stylist Jacqueline Bush of Aim Artists gives us the scoop on how she gave Clémence’s long locks an urban edge with a French accent in sync with G-Star Raw’s street cool vibe.

  1. Use a blow dryer and hands to rough-dry the hair at the natural part, twisting some sections.
  2. Take random sections of hair, and curl in different directions using a ¾-inch and 1¼ –inch curling iron.
  3. Loosen up curls and allow them to fall freely on either side of the part. Gather the rest of the hair, pull it to one side, and divide into three sections. Braid hair starting at the base and leave 2-3 inches at the ends free in keeping with the overall organic look.
  4. Secure the braid with an elastic and wrap a small piece of hair from underneath around the end. Do not wrap too neatly—you want the effect to look effortless.
