HOW TO: Brunette Ombre to Copper Using Joico Vero K-PAKMODERN Facebook fan Megan Allen, a stylist at Salon 29:11 in Smithfield, North Carolina, sent us this before and after picture of her client Sarah who, she says, often requests a dramatic change.

"She always wants to go bold," Allen says. "Here is one change where we went from a dark brown with ombré tips to a vibrant copper red."

Step one: Pre-lighten the hair with Joico Vero K-PAK cream lightener with 30-volume Vero developer. Beginning at the mid-shaft, apply the lightener through the scalp and the ends last.

Step two: After shampooing, use 3 oz. of 6RC Joico Vero K-PAKcolor with 3 oz. of 10-volume Vero developer!

Step three: Process according to manufacturer's instructions.

Step four: After shampooing and conditioning, style the hair using a 3/4" barrel curling iron and separate the curls to give it a soft wave.
