The secret is in your talented hands and the innovative products and tools you have to offer. Whether she needs tips to touch-up your professional blow-out, ideas on accessories or support for a fun, modern updo, you’ll have what she needs.

Show and tell that you know the trends.
Younger clients, especially, need assurance that you can create a special look that is fast, fresh and “not their mom’s” version. Banish the backcombing and any instinct to over-pin. Study red carpet coverage and teen mags for ideas.

Offer options for shorter-hair clients, too.
Adding curl, a special parting, extra accessories and sparkle should all be part of your portfolio. Show her what you—and she—can do with a flat iron or curling iron and the right products.

Dances, parties and spring events often entice clients to show a little more shoulder, bring out the open-toe shoes and want to “smooth and glow” all over.
