Zoe Saldana

At the U.K. premiere of the anticipated Star Trek Into Darkness, Zoe traded up the tight bun she wears throughout the movie for this vintage and elegant updo, complete with a polished and understated finger wave.

Salon tip: Stylist Mara Roszak gave Style.com a quick how-to for Zoe's 1930s-era waves:

1. Prep hair with Moroccanoil Heat Styling Spray and rough dry.
2. Use a 1-inch-barrel curling iron, creating pin curls all over as you go.
3. Set the coils with Frédéric Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray and let sit for 10 minutes.
4. Brush out the waves and then tease the ends to help create thickness.
5. Tuck ends underneath themselves and pin at the nape of the neck.
6. Spray a halo of Frédéric Fekkai Glossing Mist all over the head to add extra shine.
