Coco Rocha Rocks the METModel Coco Rocha attended the PUNK: Chaos to Couture gala to celebrate the opening of the New York Metropolitan Museum’s fashion exhibit. Rocha arrived with Fausto Puglisi, creative director of the fashion house of Emanuel Ungaro, and wore Puglisi’s gem-encrusted leopard print dress.

Celebrity stylist Veronica Chu, for Moroccanoil, gave Rocha a sleek, but dramatic style to compliment, but not clash with the drama of the gown.

“Coco’s dress is stunning,” says Chu. “It is full of drama and excess—perfect for the gala. Because of the high neck, we avoided big, voluminous hair. We opted for a clean, low French twist ponytail accessorized at the back with the same firefly gems used on the dress. Coco usually doesn’t wear bangs, so we incorporated an extreme “V” fringe to add a punk rock edge, completing the look.”

Wash hair with Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner and prep with Moroccanoil Treatment to add shine and smoothness.

Apply one pump of Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse and comb through with fingers. Lightly mist hair with Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection.

Use a Moroccanoil round brush when blow drying to leave ends smooth and straight. Section and flat iron hair for a super sleek look.

For the fringe, section off the first 1/3 of the crown and cut section into a deep “V” shape, making certain the tip of the section lines up perfectly with the nose.

Apply one pump of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream, pull hair straight back and bend into a low French twist. Secure hair inside twist with bobby pins and let fall naturally into a low ponytail at the nape. Mist hair with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium for a flexible hold.

To tie the look together, Chu added firefly gems just above the ponytail twist and misted again, using Moroccanoil Hairspray Strong to secure hair.

Finish with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray to add a shiny, wet punk texture.
