This style worn by actress Claire Julien is youthful and has an understated elegance to it. “With all of the how-to's on social media making it easier to achieve hard-looking hair styles, complicated looking braids will still be abundant, keeping long hair off hot summer shoulders,” says Matthew Morris, Kérastase Artistic Director.

TRY IT: Begin by applying Kerastase Spray-A-Porter throughout damp hair, from root to tip. Lift at the roots while rough drying for hair that has texture, but with a soft, touchable finish. Create an imperfect left-side part, spray on one pump of Spray-A-Porter on your hands and start French braiding at the left temple, down around the hairline and continuing around to behind the right ear, incorporating all the hair. Secure with a ponytail holder. Remove ponytail holder. Tie remaining hair into knots creating a "chain" until you run out of hair. Secure ends with a clear elastic. Pin chain onto the top of the head, tucking the ends of the chain underneath itself.  Pull chain apart gently to distress it a bit, as well as the hairline, bringing out small pieces of hair. Finish with a flexible hold hairspray.
