In preparation for the holiday party mania that’s just around the corner, senior stylist Graziella Lembo of SalonCapri in Boston has created two festive hairstyles to rock at any holiday shindig- - from an office party to an A-list New Year’s Eve bash! Here, you can learn how to re-create one of the styles, the Brigitte Bardot Bump!
STEP 1: After combing hair thoroughly, use a flatiron to straighten out any natural waves and create a deep side part over the right eyebrow.
STEP 2: To achieve the textured and volumized look, apply a root lifting powder such as L’Oreal Professionnel True Grip powder to roots. Tease hair at crown of head, leaving out a 1-inch section in front to create faux side bangs.
STEP 3: Gather teased hair at back of head, and comb over the top to create a smooth look. Secure with bobby pins or a decorative hair clip.
STEP 4: Drape 1-inch section of non-teased hair across left eyebrow, and pin above left ear.
