Battle of the Strands (BOTS) — a hair, makeup and wardrobe competition — is gearing up for its Oct. 6, 2014 competition date with preliminary competitions throughout the U.S.
The competition, sometimes called "Project Runway for stylists," will hold qualifying rounds in NYC, Chicago, Orlando, Las Vegas, Mexico, Puerto Rico and in an online battle. Winning teams will compete in the Las Vegas finale in October in front of a live audience, panel of celebrity judges and media.
BOTS has also partnered with the Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) foundation for a 2014 Student Battle. BCL will be the beneficiary of donations from the competition.
