Kitty Nadel, Color Director of the Ted Gibson Salons, loves to get out of her ordinary "client box" and go creative. "The best way to do this is on extensions or wigs," she says. "It's important to use high quality hair and start with the lightest shade of hair weft so that, just like an artist, you are starting with a blank canvas." Nadel advises that the selected shade is saturated and emulsified for consistent coloring. "I also prefer to massage color in to the weft with my fingers rather than a comb to make sure the color is evenly dispersed."

In this five minute interview Nadel shows some of her most recent colorations and offers tips and tricks for the perfectly colored weft.
