Although it is still chilly in many places around the country, clients and stylists alike are looking for ways to liven up dark, winter haircolor and make hair shine.

Joi Rooks, owner of Fresche Salon in Atlanta, says cranberry and chocolate has been a very popular color combo in her salon as of late. The cranberry hues are a nod to Pantone's color of the year, marsala.

"Pairing what Pantone calls marsala, or could be cranberry, with a dark chocolate gives a very decadent, rich color palette that's perfect for this traditional season," Rooks says.
