How-To Video: Moody Blue Color with Pravana Locked-In

Blue and gray tones continue to trend in haircolor, and Pravana has just released a new how-to video with guest artist Rebecca Taylor (@vividartistichairdesign) for a moody blue hue. 

The color utilizes Pravana's new Locked-In line, which allows color placement without bleeding, with its popular Vivids line to pull off the look.

Formulas
Formula 1: Chromasilk 7.22 + 2 drops Ash Blue Corrector with Zero Lift Developer
Formula 2: Chromasilk 10.07 + 2 drops Ash Blue Corrector with Zero Lift Developer
Formula 3: 000 + 2 drops Chromasilk 1N + 2 drops Ash Blue Corrector with Zero Lift Developer
Formula 4: Vivids Pastels Blissful Blue + Vivids Clear + Vivids Locked-in Teal (equal parts all)
Formula 5: Vivids Silver
 

STEP 1: Start with pre-lightened hair using Pravana Pure Light Power Lightener.

STEP 2: Apply Formula 1 to the base through to the back.

STEP 3: Weave out horizontal slices and apply Formula 2 from Formula 1 to ends.

STEP 4: Apply Formula 2 from base color about 2 inches, blending where they meet.

STEP 5: Apply Formula 1 to the base, through the top and sides.

STEP 6: Weave out horizontal slices and apply Formula 2 from Formula 1 to ends.

STEP 7: Alternate applications of Formulas 2 and 3 and Formulas 4 and 5 from base color to ends.

STEP 8: Process for 20-30 minutes at room temperature. 

STEP 9: Rinse with cool water, then follow with Pravana Vivids Color Protect.

STEP 10: Style as desired.
