Jillain Salomone (@jillainhair_mua & @jluxesalon), owner of j.luxe Salon, Syracuse, NY, says "My client came in with a washed out summer blonde shade. It was now time to transition into fall, and richen up her color. We decided that we wanted to keep some light into the hair so I added balayage lowlights throughout."

Here Salamone shares the HOW TO in her own words:

"I started by touching up her roots with Schwarzkopf Igora Royal 5-0 and 5-65 with 10 Volume (she had very little gray). I then went through and balayaged 5-65 with 10 volume throughout the mid shaft to ends, leaving some of the lighter pieces out, using the techniques I learned at the Eva Scrivo Academy in NYC. After processing for 30 minutes and the rinsing out the color, I then applied an all over glaze using Redken Shades EQ in equal parts of 9n & 8gg with processing solution. That processed for 10 minutes. The hair was then shampooed and conditioned with Oribe Beautiful Color."

Adds Salomone, "It left a beautiful overall shine. I told my client that to really maintain the richness with minimal fading while keeping her hair healthy, she should come back in four weeks for another glaze."
