The biggest color trend of the 2015 was, without a doubt, drenched in grays, silvers and dusty lavenders. Is the gray trend over? Not necessarily. According to Victoria Casciola, artistic director for Hotheads Hair Extensions, there is a way to modernize the look for those clients who love ashier finishes.
Although she is aware the gray trend has likely reached its peak, Victoria Casciola, artistic director for Hotheads Hair Extensions, believes there is still some life left in the look. “Especially for the holiday season,” Casciola says. “I think it works perfectly for a ‘moody’ holiday finish.” Casciola keeps the look fresh by using darker “vampy” shades.
“Hair extensions are perfect for the client who wants haircolor but doesn’t want to commit.” —Victoria Casciola, artistic director for Hotheads Hair Extensions
“I like to call it ‘10 Shades Of Gray.’” Casciola adds dimension by mixing up a variety of shades in the deep silver family, including denim. This color is added to her holiday finishes through extensions that she believes are the perfect vehicle for the client who wants haircolor but doesn’t want to commit. All of her extensions are customized for each client. “All extensions should be customized,” she says. “All stylists should customize their work. Period.”
