This first-time client was a challenge for Michelle Conway (@strutmichelle), asking to be "blonde for summer".

"My fellow stylists (at Strut Salon in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) know I love doing color corrections. This client was definitely a challenge, but well worth it. I advised her that if she was patient, it could be done. She had natural level 3-4 Asian hair, but she had been coloring it herself level 2 with a box dye for one year."

Here, Conway shares the how-to:

SESSION ONE:

-Applied a full head of babylights created with Redken Flash Lift lightener and 40 volume developer with Olaplex.

-Toned with Schwarzkopf Igora 6.12.

-Treated with Olaplex #2.

SESSION TWO (10-12 weeks later):

-Applied another round of babylights with the same lightener.

-Toned with Schwarzkopf Professional's Igora equal parts 8.4/8.1/7.4.

-Treated with Olaplex #2.
