Megan Ryan (@megryanhair) of Lipstick Hair Beauty & Makeup Salon, Glasgow, Scotland, caught our eye with this gorgeous makeover. We tracked her down to get more details.

"My client Elaine was building up from dark to blonde. She started experimenting with color and decided to go strawberry blonde and pink. She then got a taste for it and decided to try vivid colors. We lightened her up again with Schwarzkopf Professional's BlondMe and Olaplex (20 volume 6%). We got her up to a pale yellow then applied Olaplex part 2 and mixed up some purples, blues, pinks and greens, a nice mix of Pravana and Manic Panic vivid pastels. We had fun color melting and the finished results were amazing!"

Two and a half months later, Elaine returned. "She decided to go back to brunette for an important job interview she had the following day. We had to try our best to get her looking good."

Here, Ryan shares how she brought Elaine back to brunette:

Step 1: Create a clean base. Apply EO Schwarzkopf Igora with 30 volume 9% Igora developer and Olaplex to remove old fashion color. Apply as if applying a tint, taking it through mids and ends, working through the hair. Massage to remove old color, watching carefully. Shampoo and apply Olaplex part 2 for 20 minutes. Rinse.

Step 2: Apply 4.5 dark gold Schwarzkopf Igora with 10 volume/3% as a root fade base color.

Step 3: Color melt 665 chocolate gold Schwarzkopf Igora with inch of 077 orange concentrate with 10 volume, blended with Olaplex. Saturate well through the mids and ends.

Step 4: Process for 45 minutes and then apply Olaplex part 2 for 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition with Schwarzkopf Color Freeze.
