Liza Edwards (@Lizaloveshair) of Escape Salon and Day Spa, Claremont, California, has been a Great Lengths Extensionist for 11 years. Her experience came in handy for her new client. Here she shares more about the finished look:
-Add 290 pieces of Fine Size Bond Great Lengths extensions - just 10 pieces shy of 6 bundles - to create a 16" all over look.
-Place strategically to add volume and length while focusing on hiding the haircut inside the head of extensions.
-The key is to make sure to keep the rows of extensions close together and use as much hair as possible so that you cannot see the bob.
-In the top crown area apply Great Lengths Pastel Purple. "The bonds on the Pastel Purple come Pastel Color to match and better hide the bonds through the top crown of her hair."
-A combination of #9 and #10 Great Lengths Blonde are used throuhout the rest of the hair.
Edwards points out that she added lots of extensions to prevent the hair from looking stringy. The extensions were layered and reazored to create a natural look.
"This finish took 5 hours with cutting and styling. We then waited 72 hours to let the extensions set before color."
COLOR DETAILS ON NATURAL LEVEL 7 HAIR:
-Client had existing bleach blonde level 10-12 weave throughout. To the root, apply a combo of Joico Intensity, Indigo, Titanium and Wild Orchid.
-On the mid shaft apply Wild Orchid and Titanium.
-Process according to manufacturers instructions. Shampoo and let the ends grab and tone during the shampoo.
