Redken Creative Consultant, Olaplex Ambassador and celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham (@traceycunningham1is so open about her process and willingly shares her formulas when asked. Her clientele includes some of the most photographed women in the world, including famously well-coiffed Kim Kardashian West. After a social media moment in which Kardashian West shared a picture of herself in Cunningham's chair, the world wanted to know how to get that Kim K. color.  And Cunningham graciously complied.

STEP ONE: "I did babylights highlights using Redken Flashlift with 1/4oz of Olaplex in foils, full head weave everywhere, and lifted to light brown and dark blonde so I had to rinse after each section because it was coming up fast on the ends because of the platinum blonde she did awhile back!"

STEP TWO: "So once rinsed, I put on Olaplex to give her a treatment while I was highlighting the other sections."

STEP THREE: "After all highlights were rinsed I put the Olaplex Number 1 treatment (6oz of water,  1oz of Olaplex ) all over and towel dried,"

STEP FOUR: "I rooted with Redken 5th Ave Shades Eq.

Zone 1 with 06nb/20+06n+06gn and Zone 2 08gn+08n zone 3 09n+09t. Leave on 20 minutes."

STEP FIVE: "After I did another gloss because it looked a little too light.  I used 08n/40+08gn/40+07n+09b < Shades Eq processing solution for another 20 minutes."

NOTE: "I use a scale to measure everything so everything is in cc's or ml's."

"I think Kim Kardashian looks amazing!"
