This year was one of the most exciting for the extension end of the salon industry, and 2017 is looking to be even more invigorated. With fashion colors and pastels all the rage, clients can have the best of all worlds, with a little length and volume thrown in for good measure.

The new Colormelts and fashion shades by Hotheads Hair Extensions are making Artistic Director Victoria Casciola’s job a lot easier.

“Next year clients will be growing out their lobs,” she says. “They will want to play with color. These extensions give them the opportunity to play without commitment.”

The tape-ins are available in 12 new shades that range from fashion-forward hues to rich, natural colors going from light to pastel, dark to light, blonde to pastels, dark to fashion color and the best seller: medium, golden brown that melts into a golden blonde.

When it came to color selection, Casciola was inspired by gems. She mixed and matched Colormelts in natural and fashion shades, all designed to glisten and gleam throughout the hair. Several of the stronger shades were used as peek-a-boos while different softer shades sandwiched the natural hair to add a subtle hint of sparkle.

“Extensions are the ultimate hair accessory,” Casciola says. “They should be a part of every client’s wardrobe.”
