Sarai Speer (@saraihairwizard) of ReHab Hair, Kansas City, MO, says this makeover took 3 hours and she charged $250. Here she shares the details:

Products used: Aloxxi Dimensions .26 (1 step Lift and deposit color)

Trionics Enzyme Developers 20 and 50 volume combined to make 30 volume

Olaplex

Schwarzkopf 8-77, 7-7 and 0-77 additive with Trionics 5 volume

Joico Intensities in Fiery Coral

“This client was referred to me from a friend and fellow hairstylist in Pensacola, Heidi Grether. She wanted bright red/copper hair but didn't want to go the Vivid color route. I didn't want to use lightener on her hair for three reasons:

  • A- parts were already bleached and some parts weren't
  • B- I didn't want to go the  'fashion color' route
  • C- I wanted to create a beautiful red base color that would fade like oxidative color as opposed to Vivids (exposing the pre-lightened color....aka blonde)."

Step 1: Create a beautiful, vibrant red base color using Aloxxi Dimensions Highlighting (1 step Lift & Deposit) color in .26 (Violet red) with Trionics Enzyme Developer (20 volume and 50 volume mixed to make 30 volume) and Olaplex.. For the roots apply .26 with Trionics 5 volume (deposit only). Apply root color then mid-ends. Process for 45 minutes. Rinse then shampoo with L'Oréal Professionnel Absolute Repair. Olaplex 2 for 10 minutes then rinse and dry.

Step 2: Deposit a copper color on top of the red base using Schwarzkopf 8-77 and 7-7 with 0-77 additive with Trionics 10 volume and Olaplex. Apply root to ends and process 30 minutes. Rinse then shampoo with L'Oréal Absolute Repair. Apply Olaplex 2 for 10 minutes, rinse and dry the ends.

Step 3: Apply Joico Intensity in Fiery Coral to ends for 20 minutes. Rinse and condition with Trionics Enzyme Cocktail.

Blow dry using Kenra Blow Dry Spray. Style with Kenra Thermal Spray using Isa Professional Titanium flat iron and finish with Bed Head After Party and Kenra Texture Taffy.
