If you’ve ever read the ancient Greek epic voyage, The Odyssey, you’re sure to remember the dangerous sirens who lure men to their deaths with their voices.

In the poem, you learn that the hero, Odysseus, becomes the first mortal to survive an encounter with the sirens. Odysseus lives to tell the tale after ordering his men to tie him to the mast of his ship while they plug their ears and sail onward.

Inspired by the epic, Stylist Bernat Sayol at Salón Carlos Valiente created the Aureo collection which means gold in Italian.

“I chose this name for my collection because it’s inspired by the ancient legend of Odysseus, and his sailors, in which the beautiful sirens, emerging from the sea, entranced those men in such a way that, unknowingly, ran their boats into the reefs where the sirens snatched the fruits of their plunders, treasures of gold, and precious jewels.” he says.
