Smokey Balayage

Nicole Koshak (@nicole.koshak), a stylist at Shannon Hair in Valencia, CA, took her client from a solid copper to a smokey-grey with balayage. She also gave her a haircut to remove thin, fragile ends.

STEPS

STEP ONE: "I did the base with 5-1 with a little 4-0 Wella Color Touch and painted with Blondor 20 volume moving to 30 volume as I got to the front.

STEP TWO: "Painted low lights in with the base formula.

STEP THREE: "After I washed out and toned with 6T Redken Shades Eq in the crown section first and quickly all over the ends watching to wait to see it turn silver then rinsed out before it got too dark.

STEP FOUR: "Cut three inches off for fullness and gave her some beach waves and she was ready to face senior year confidently!"
