Alicia Urban (@aliciaurbanhair), a L’Oréal Professionnel Artist based Haute Headz Salon, Tallahassee, Florida, says “My client's hair had been fading back to red and brassiness every time she had her color done. She wanted to transition back to brunette while still leaving dimension and no warmth.”

Here Urban shares the details for this makeover, using all L’Oréal Professionnel color:

Step 1: Lowlight the base with Majirel cool covers,1/4 6.11, 1/4 6.17 & 1/4 6.0

(“Cool cover in Majirel is AMAZING for those clients that always seem to fade back to brass. It keeps their desired tone without fading back to warmth!”) Feather the color down to the mid-shaft to create a stretched root.

Step 2: Highlight with Majimeche with 30 volume Nutrideveloper. Process for 35 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo.

Step 3: Glaze with Dialight 1/2 9.01 & 1/2 9.0 with 9 volume. Process for 10 minutes and then rinse.
