L’Oréal Professionnel has just announced that Celebrity Stylist Ted Gibson will be the emcee for Color & Style Trophy - noted as the world’s oldest live hair competition. The contest is coming to the U.S. and will be held in New York City on June 25.
An influential style maker, Gibson’s work has appeared in publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, and VOGUE, and his work has appeared on the cover of MODERN SALON MAGAZINE several times over the past several years. Gibson styles high profile celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Lupita Nyong’o. Not only a household name for his celebrity looks, Gibson is an industry leader in Hair Artistry Education, training and mentoring hairdressers all over the country for the past two decades.
“I’m thrilled to partner with L’Oréal Professionnel to host the very first U.S. Color & Style Trophy event,” says Gibson. “I started my career in education and artistry so I know how critical a ‘big break’ can be for a hairdresser’s career. Color & Style Trophy will hopefully give our winners the opportunity of a lifetime to showcase their work in front of some of the industry’s biggest names.”
