MAKEOVER: Long and Dull To Fun Balayage

Samantha Whitlow (@Hairstuffbysam) of The Beauty BARR, Texarkana, TX., says her client's hair hasn't been cut in a "loooong time."

After cutting to the desired length (a blunt cut), Whitlow got busy with the color on her virgin hair:

Step 1: Balayage with Redken Freehand with 30 vol (mixing ratio is 1:1.5) I"We wanted a natural 'sun kissed' look. Process for 45 - 60 minutes. Shampoo and towel dry.

Step 2: Leaving zone 1 natural, glaze the lightened pieces with Redken Shades EQ 1oz 09N and 1/2oz 09V, leaving the glaze on for 5 minutes.
